The act ensures that an American flag is provided to the next of kin of every federal civil servant who is killed in the line of duty. On December 12, 2011 HAPCOA National Executive Board members, Executive Director Tony Chapa, Past National President Tony Cox, 4th Vice President Mari Nash, and Executive Secretary Zinnia James joined law enforcement partners from the National Latino Peace Officers Association, and the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department to launch the Department of Homeland Security Spanish-language Public Service Announcements (PSAs) in support of the "If You See Something, Say SomethingT" campaign.
